Planning Your Wedding Dance
Do we need to have our wedding song chosen?
No. If you are considering a song, we are happy to review it and provide complimentary feedback. If you have not chosen one yet, we can suggest songs based on the style and feeling you want.
What if one or both of us have never danced?
That is common. We adjust the choreography to your experience and comfort level. We can include memorable moments such as dips, combinations, tricks or humour while still leaving space for you to enjoy the music and each other. With the four-hour package, the goal is for you to feel ready to perform the routine by the end of your lessons.
Should we book a private dance lesson or a wedding lesson?
A regular private lesson focuses primarily on learning dance technique and steps using the instructor’s music. A wedding lesson focuses on building a routine specifically for your song, including transitions, highlights, dips and other flourishes that suit your wedding. The additional preparation and customized choreography account for the difference in rates.
Are the studio and taxes included?
Yes. The listed wedding lesson rates include all taxes and a private studio for you and your partner rather than shared floor space.
